Tugs, barges deliver new bridge to NYC's East River (PHOTOS)

Willis Avenue Bridge was towed down Hudson via Bayonne
(7/28/2010)
(NEW YORK) -- Tugboats and barges carried the new Willis Avenue Bridge on the East River to the site where it will replace an old bridge, WNYC radio reported. The bridge was constructed at the Port of Coeymans, near Albany, and then towed down the Hudson River to a temporary mooring at Bayonne, N.J. Crews have now delivered it to the permanent site where it is being installed.
